Organizations serving remote and hard-to-serve rural Alaska communities; all applications go through the foundation's online form. The foundation generally does not fund employee salaries, individual scholarships, wages for work normally done by volunteers, or equipment benefiting only a few, which rules out a standard university-salaried research budget. Community-based documentation and project work is the fit.
