U.S. Department of Defense — Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP), Defense Health Agency

Supports clinical trials, from proof-of-concept feasibility through larger effectiveness trials, on treatment or management of psychological health conditions and/or traumatic brain injury. Applications must include a community-based participatory research approach, which makes behavioural and psychosocial intervention trials with community partners in scope.

Independent investigators at any career level or equivalent; extramural and intramural DoD organizations, foreign and domestic, for-profit and nonprofit. Postdoctoral and clinical fellows are not independent investigators. Under the Early-Career Investigator Partnering Option both PIs must be independent and the early-career PI within 10 years of terminal degree at the application deadline.
