FRIDA Young Feminist Fund — Call for Applications

FRIDA | The Young Feminist Fund

A fund run by young feminists where the applicants themselves are the panel: every group that applies votes for the top proposals in its regional voting group, and non-voting groups are disqualified.

Indicative award
Amount not published (varies by call)No grant figure is published on the how-to-apply page. It states priority goes to groups with annual budgets under $50,000 USD, and that funds may cover project costs and operations including salaries, rent and utilities.
Timing
Periodic callsNo specific published date recorded. This funder publishes a cycle rather than a date, and this database does not invent one.Calls run in numbered cycles rather than on a fixed annual date. The how-to-apply page still describes the 8th cycle, which closed 4 May 2022; the site's news reflects a more recent grantee cohort, so watch for a fresh call rather than relying on that page's dates.
Who can apply
Community organisation, Practitioner, Master's / undergraduate
Eligibility
At least 70% of a group's members must be under 30 and leadership must be held by young women, girls, trans and/or intersex youth under 30 (up to 35 if the majority are under 30). Legal registration is not required and informal collectives are welcome, but highly industrialised countries including the US, Canada, Australia, Japan and most of Western Europe are excluded. A university cannot be the applicant; the researcher route is partnership with a grantee collective.
