Switzer Research Fellowship Program
Fellowships awarded to individuals, not organizations, to carry out research on rehabilitation, independent living and the experiences and outcomes of people with disabilities. Two tiers: Merit for earlier-career researchers and Distinguished for senior researchers.

Merit fellowships require advanced professional training or equivalent independent study in disability and rehabilitation; some cycles have had a track for doctoral candidates at the dissertation stage. Distinguished fellowships require a doctorate or terminal degree plus seven or more years of relevant research experience.
