Small research awards for doctoral and medical students at Michigan universities working to improve health care in the state. Past funded projects span applied research, pilot programs, demonstrations and evaluation studies in public health, nursing, psychology and related fields, which makes it a realistic first grant for a social work doctoral student based in Michigan.

up to $3k (total award)Up to $3,000 per project. When several students collaborate on one project they divide the award equally. No published minimum.

Eligibility
Open to doctoral students in good academic standing enrolled at an accredited Michigan university who are U.S. residents, resident aliens or student visa holders. Prior recipients of this award cannot reapply. BCBSM employees and immediate family members of employees are ineligible.
