State Justice Statistics (SJS) Program for Statistical Analysis Centers

Bureau of Justice Statistics, U.S. Department of Justice

SJS builds state analytic capacity by funding Statistical Analysis Centers to coordinate statistical activities, analyze administrative justice data and act as the liaison between BJS and state agencies. Recent cycles offered Core Capacity-Building projects (NIBRS compatibility, performance measurement, data access) and Special Emphasis projects using administrative and criminal history data, which is a direct fit for social work researchers studying reentry, diversion and justice-system contact.
