Parkinson's Foundation Community Grants
A $1 million annual pool for locally operated programs serving people with Parkinson's disease and their care partners. Two of the three published focus areas are squarely social-work territory: mental health and emotional wellbeing (anxiety, depression, social isolation) and care partner support, training and resources. The Foundation asks that funded programs be impactful, sustainable, scalable and measurable, which is the opening for an evaluation component designed with a researcher. Since 2011 the program has put more than $13.9 million into 1,065 community-based programs.

- Who can apply
- Community organisation, Practitioner
- Eligibility
- The applicant must be an independent, locally operating organization: a nonprofit, a healthcare facility, or another tax-exempt organization. For-profit organizations may apply if the program is offered at no cost to participants. 501(c)(3) status is explicitly not required. Chapters of national organizations are not eligible. This is a community-program fund rather than an academic research grant, so a university researcher's route is to partner with an eligible local organization that holds the award and to build the measurement and evaluation work into that organization's program.
