- Must meet NIH early-stage investigator criteria (terminal degree or clinical training completed within the past 10 years), hold a PhD, MD, ScD, DrPH or equivalent doctorate, hold a 2nd/3rd-year postdoctoral or assistant/associate professor position, and plan to submit an NIH grant application within 12 months. Prior HDRI participants and NIH/HHS staff are ineligible.
