Eligibility
Must be a US citizen, US national or permanent resident by award start, hold a doctoral degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, PsyD, DO, DDS, DMD, DPM, DC, ND, OD, DVM or equivalent), and carry qualified educational debt of at least 20 percent of institutional base salary (renewal applicants exempt). Research must be funded by a domestic nonprofit, university, professional association or US government agency; for-profit funding, non-NIH federal employment over 20 hours a week, federal judgment liens and outstanding health-professional service obligations all disqualify.
