Supports an established investigator to build research infrastructure, mentoring and curriculum that expands aging and Alzheimer's research capacity at their academic institution. Combines salary support, research development funds and a programme coordinator.

Indicative award

up to $150k per year (per year)Up to $150,000 total direct costs per year, made up of up to $75,000 salary for the awardee, up to $50,000 research development costs and up to $25,000 coordinator salary. Indirect costs 8% of MTDC. Up to 5 years.

Eligibility

PD/PI must hold a research or health-professional doctorate, hold a full-time academic appointment, and already be PD/PI on an active NIA R01 or R01-equivalent (or an NIA multi-component sub-project). Must be a US citizen, non-citizen national or lawful permanent resident by award. Foreign organisations not eligible. 25-50% effort required.
