Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N) Grant Program

Seattle Foundation

Seattle Foundation's community-led, participatory grant program funding grassroots community organizing, resident leadership development and neighborhood-designed projects in Greater Seattle. Running since 1991, the program describes itself as designed by and for community members, and awards flexible early funding to small, emerging groups — a route by which a social work researcher partnered with a grassroots organization can support community-based inquiry, documentation and evaluation of local organizing.

Eligibility
Applicant must be a grassroots organization based in Greater Seattle, with priority focus on South Seattle, White Center, Kent, and SeaTac/Tukwila. The program prioritizes groups led by people from marginalized communities — communities of color, Black, Native and Indigenous communities, immigrant and refugee communities, and low-income communities. A university cannot be the applicant; a faculty researcher would participate only as a partner to a community-based grantee organization, with the grantee holding the award.
