Tax-exempt organisations or units of government serving the six-county Central Texas region (Travis, Williamson, Hays, Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell), with 501(c)(3) or 170(b)(1)(a)(vi) status, a minimum $50,000 budget and at least two years of operation. Scholarships, endowments, individuals, lobbying, religious purposes and umbrella organisations are excluded. A university unit would need to fit the regional direct-service framing; realistically this is a community nonprofit award.
