Health Fund Grant Programs (Healthy Aging, Healthy Kids, Behavioral Health, Capacity Building)
Michigan Health Endowment Fund
The Michigan Health Endowment Fund is a statewide fund created under Michigan law from the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan restructuring, making grants to improve health and wellness across the state with a particular remit for children and seniors. Its 2026 grantmaking runs four programmes: Healthy Aging, Healthy Kids, Behavioral Health and Capacity Building. The Fund describes working with grantees to develop ideas and evaluate impact, so evaluation partnerships are within its normal way of working, and behavioural health is being folded into the Healthy Aging and Healthy Kids programmes

- Eligibility
- Grants go to nonprofit organisations and agencies serving Michigan residents; the grantmaking overview does not state whether universities or government bodies may apply directly, and directs applicants to the FAQ and grant portal for eligibility detail. Applications run through the Fund's Fluxx portal, and its behavioural health cycle has used a concept-paper stage with full proposals by invitation.
