Ireland's flagship all-disciplines postdoctoral fellowship, funding a one- or two-year fellowship at an eligible Irish higher education institution. Bottom-up and non-directed, so social work, social policy and social care topics compete on their own merits, and the scheme welcomes pioneering proposals in new and emerging fields and interdisciplinary research.

Eligibility
The fellowship must be held at an eligible higher education institution in Ireland, and the application must be endorsed by that institution's research office and supported by a named mentor. Eligibility is set by PhD timing: late-stage candidates who will have completed all steps for the award of the PhD by the stated cut-off, and postdoctoral researchers whose PhD graduation falls within the five-year window before that cut-off. No citizenship restriction is stated. Community organisations cannot apply; the route is a fellow hosted by an Irish HEI.
