FY 2026 Youth Homelessness NOFO (YHDP and YHSI Grants)

Funds new Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program communities and Youth Homelessness System Improvement grants. Selected communities must assess youth needs, build a coordinated community plan, and may test new approaches.

Community organisation, Practitioner, Mid-career & senior
Eligibility
Awards go to communities, not individual researchers. A community must convene a Youth Action Board of youth with current or past lived experience of homelessness to lead planning, and must bring in housing providers, child welfare and school agencies, workforce organisations, and the juvenile justice system.
