- Applicant must be a Michigan-based nonprofit community organization — a university cannot be the applicant here, so a researcher participates as the community organization's evaluation or design partner on the organization's grant. A cash match is required, scaled to organizational budget and patient mix: organizations under $10M budget match 25 percent (10 percent if more than 30 percent of patients are Medicaid or uninsured); organizations over $10M match 60 percent (25 percent if more than 30 percent Medicaid or uninsured).
