Commonwealth Universal Research Enhancement (CURE) Program

CURE was created by Act 77 Chapter 9 of 2001 and is Pennsylvania's tobacco-settlement-funded health research programme. It runs two award streams each year: formula grants, distributed non-competitively to institutions in proportion to their existing NIH or NCI funding, and nonformula grants awarded through a competitive process.
