Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI)

PCORI's largest open competition for patient-centered comparative clinical effectiveness research: randomised trials, natural experiments or observational studies. Cycle 3 2026 names special emphasis areas including perinatal mental health and substance use, cancer survivorship, diabetes, and pain management in people with IDD or dementia.

Indicative award
up to $12M (total award)$120 million in direct costs committed across the opportunity. Per-project direct-cost caps by category: up to $5 million (Category 1), greater than $5 million up to $12 million (Category 2), up to $12 million for PCORnet studies (Category 3). Project period up to five years. No minimum published.
