Appel à projets générique (AAPG) 2027

Agence nationale de la recherche (ANR)

France's main open competition, and the route by which most French social science research gets funded. The 2027 edition is organised into 57 research axes spanning disciplinary and cross-cutting themes, with the social sciences and humanities explicitly in scope, and keeps five instruments — including JCJC for young researchers without a permanent team, and PRC/PRCE for collaborative projects with academic or non-academic partners, which is the natural vehicle for research done jointly with a social agency. Two-stage process with a short pre-proposal first.

Eligibility
Open to all scientific communities and to public and private research actors in France; the grantee is a French research organisation or laboratory rather than an individual. Each instrument carries its own gate — JCJC is reserved for early-career researchers not yet leading a team, PRCE requires a partner from outside the public research sector (a company, association or agency), and PRCI requires a foreign partner funded by a counterpart agency.
