Mentored fellowship for licensed, practicing clinicians building a research career in Alzheimer's and all other dementias. Applications are welcomed from all research areas including psychosocial investigations, care interventions and health equity, so a doctorally trained clinician in a patient-contact discipline can propose caregiving or care-delivery research.

Indicative award
up to $200k (total award)Total award will not exceed $200,000 over two to three years: research budget up to $180,000 (max $100,000 per year) plus a separate $20,000 dissemination stipend ($10,000 each to PI and named mentor) paid only on successful completion. Indirect costs capped at 10 percent of total direct costs.

Eligibility
The gate is active clinical practice: applicant must be within 15 years of the M.D., D.O. or Ph.D., hold active licensure for clinical practice, and be actively caring for patients in a healthcare setting at submission. The program defines a clinician scientist as trained and practicing in a field with patient contact (its examples are neurology, psychiatry, geriatrics, psychology) or patient-related diagnostic studies.
