Nontraditional Participatory grantmaking

A national regranting fund run by an AAPI arts service organization, giving unrestricted general operating support to small AAPI arts and culture organizations selected by a review panel.

Indicative award

$10k–$15k (total award)$10,000 for organizations with budgets of $100,000 or less (about 14–17 awards) and $15,000 for budgets of $100,001–$499,999 (about 22–24 awards), from a total pool of $500,000.

Eligibility

501(c)(3) nonprofits or fiscally sponsored groups with at least three years of operating history and an annual operating budget under $500,000, in any US state, DC or a US territory. Universities, colleges, K-12 schools, for-profits and 501(c)(4) organizations are explicitly ineligible, as are prior A4 Arts Fund grantees — a researcher's only route is as a partner to an eligible organization.
