2026 NIA Mentorship Prize Competition

A prize that pays faculty for mentoring rather than for a project. Mentees nominate you; if you win, $100,000 goes to your institution to buy you time and to build shareable mentorship resources.

- Early-career faculty, Mid-career & senior, Any faculty rank
- Eligibility
- You cannot apply for yourself. A mentor needs at least two mentee-submitted nominations to be invited, must be tenure-track or equivalent faculty, and must be PI or MPI on an NIA award active between 10/1/2021 and 9/30/2026. Prior NIH K24 or K07 holders and prior NINDS Landis Award recipients are excluded. The cash goes to the employing institution, not the mentor.
